Biography
Peter Pearson was born in Dun Laoghaire in 1955. His childhood days were spent in the environs of the harbour and town where he became intimate with every stone and back lane. He studied Art History at Trinity College, Dublin.
He has taught Art in his former school, Newpark Comprehensive, Blackrock, and as a painter he has exhibited in Venice and Caen (Normandy).
As a conservationist and art historian he has been a leading figure on developing public interest in the protection of the visual and built heritage of Ireland since the 1980s.
As of 2014, he was living in the County Wexford countryside, painting about 30 pictures a year.
