Biography
Melissa Gennet Anderson is a descendant of John Anderson, who was born in 1759, and lived near Greenville, North Carolina. His wife's name was Tarley. He served in the Revoutionary War, and died in 1842. Melissa was born 20 May 1845 in Randolph County, Indiana. Her parents were Watson Gates Anderson (1815-1875) and Beulah Jane Jeffrey. She married Philip Marshall Moore 12 August 1860. They had seven children.-Google Books
