Biography

<b>Arnold J. Schecter</b> (b. 1934) is a leading expert on the health impact of dioxins, and a professor at the University of Texas School of Public Health. He is the editor of numerous volumes including <i>Dioxins and Health</i> and <i>Treatment Aspects of Drug Dependence</i>. Dr. Schecter received his undergraduate education at <a href="http://shimer.edu">Shimer College</a> and the University of Chicago, his MD at Howard University, and his MPH at Columbia University. He is a Fellow of the American College of Preventive Medicine and the American Society of Internal Medicine, and a co-founder of the <i>American Journal of Drug and Alcohol Abuse</i>.
