Biography
Born 1903 in Garland, Alabama to George W. and Mary S. Mixon. Graduate of Troy State Teachers College and Livingston State Teachers College. Married May 29, 1938 to Pattye Rue Wilson in Lineville, Alabama. Served as school teacher and football coach in Flomaton, Alabama and taught school in Starlington and Geneva, Alabama. Worked for 30 years as a United States postal clerk, and in retirement served as city clerk of Georgiana, Alabama. Also president of Georgiana Kiwanis Club and member of Alabama Chapter of Sons of the American Revolution. Passed away after an extended illness on August 8, 1992.
