Biography
She was the wife of the late Francis R. Bellamy who died in 1972. She was born in Providence, R.I. April 5, 1890, daughter of Frank Churchill Woods and Virginia Lee (Hall) Woods. She was an author and poet. In 1952, her book,"Number Knitting" was published by Crown Publishers, New York.
Just after she passed in 1976, her second book, a book of poetry was published by the Bond Wheelwright Company: "And The Evening And The Morning."
She was also a contributor to the Saturday Review of Literature. She was a graduate of the Friends School in Moorsetown,, NJ, and the Girls Latin School in Baltimore, MD.
She had three children: John Lawton Mackall, Rufus Tappen Bellamy, and Jane Churchill Bellamy Young.
