Jost Schneider

Jost Schneider has been fascinated by nature since he was a child. His career as a photographer and filmmaker began when he did a study of roe deer that was awarded first prize by a youth organization in his native Switzerland. After becoming a professional photographer, Jost produced documentary films on subjects such as national parks and the life of the red fox. His nature photographs have been featured in many books and magazines, and he has written several books for young people. Jost says that taking pictures of the lynx for this book required a lot of luck, time, and patience. Thanks to his hard work, readers can get a rare look at the secretive cat in its natural habitat.
