Biography
David Willard Lyon was born in China, and returned in 1895 to found in the first YMCA in the country in Tianjin. In 1930, he returned to the U.S. During his later years in China, he organized where leadership training classes, a lending library, and a college student newspaper called The Chinese Intercollegian (later called China’s Young Men). He helped organize language schools.
