Biography
Theology professor, vice president of Luther Theological Seminary in St. Paul, MN, and ordained minister of the Norwegian Lutheran Church of America (NLCA)*. Named by Norway's King Haakon VII in 1924 a Commander of the Royal Norwegian Order of St. Olav. Born near Oconomowoc, WI; his death at 78 in Minneapolis, MN, was reported by the Associated Press and carried in the New York Times.

*In 1946, the NLCA would change its name to the Evangelical Lutheran Church (ELC). In 1960, it joined with German and Danish Lutheran churches to form the American Lutheran Church (ALC).
