Biography

Rene Latourelle, SJ, was born in Montreal in 1918 and entered the Society of Jesus in 1938. He obtained a doctorate in history from the University of Montreal and a doctorate in theology at the Gregorian University. A former editor of Sciences Ecclesiastiques, he is best known for his features on various theological topics. He was a professor of fundamental theology at the Gregorian University.
