John A. Griffiths

John A Griffiths, a native of Bangor, North Wales, was born in 1948. He was educated in Friars Grammar School before joining the Gwynedd Constabulary, which later became The North Wales Police. He was a detective for all but seven of his thirty-three years police service, rising to the rank of detective inspector as head of the fraud squad. In addition to fraud, he also has experience investigating crimes such as murder, kidnapping, sexual assaults and child abuse of the kind that feature in Sins Of The Past. Upon retirement from the police service, he worked for a national firm of solicitors engaged in defending civil claims, mostly against police forces and local authorities. John has been fully retired for a number of years. In addition to writing, he enjoys fly-fishing, hill walking, field sports and cooking. He lives in Anglesey with his partner, Julia, and their flat-coated retriever, Merlin. -Amazon
