Biography

Garet Rogers was the pen name of Margaret Rogers Miller (1920 - 1996). The nom de plume she used as a novelist was created out of the last 5 letters of her first name plus her maiden name. Originally from Ohio, she was a lady lawyer who lived in Hollywood, and was (allegedly) the first woman to ever run for mayor in the state of California (Los Angeles, 1960).

In the 1950s and 1960s she published a number of novels, "Prisoner in paradise" (her first, in 1954), "The Jumping off place","Brother surgeons" (aka "The lancet"), "A corner in angels.", "Oath of dishonor", and "Scandal in Eden."
