Miran Jus

In 1984, Miran Jus graduated from the Faculty of Law at the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia; in 1989, he received an M.A. in Economics from the Faculty of Economics at the University of Zagreb; and in 2002, he obtained a Ph.D. (LL.D.) from the Faculty of Law at the University of Ljubljana. In his career, he has served as a diplomat, executive director for research and strategy of Slovenian Export Credit Agency and independent legal and financial consultant. Currently he is an executive director for structured financing and legal affairs in a power engineering company Korona, Inc. He has published several books and over 180 articles and other works on the law of international payments, export credit and investment insurance, monetary, banking and insurance law, trade and project finance, risk management, etc. He is also a member of Council of Experts of Slovenian Insurance Supervision Agency, an Assistant Professor of Business Law at the Faculty of Economics at the University of Ljubljana, an arbitrator and a speaker at conferences, seminars and workshops dealing with various legal, economic, and financial issues.
