Biography
[English] Sir **John Gardner Wilkinson** (born 1797 at Little Missenden, Buckinghamshire; died 1875 at Llandovery, Wales) was an English traveller, writer and Egyptologist. He is often referred to as “the Father of British Egyptology”.
