Biography

George Savile, 1st Marquess of Halifax was an English politician and writer. He was born on November 11, 1633 in Yorkshire to Sir William Savile, 3rd Baronet.
He studied at Shrewsbury School. He was Member of Parliament in the Parliament of England and Lord President of the Council. He was a member of Royal Society.
He died on April 5, 1695 in London.
