Biography
Rodrigo T. Meirelles was born in Ribeirao Preto, Brazil, in 1969, and raised on the family farm, Fazenda Taboa, in close contact with the outdoors. By his own definition a dreamer and an explorer, Rodrigo was launched at a young age into a journey in search of knowledge that took him across countries and continents, and the world became the fertile ground where stories were planted and are now being harvested. Rodrigo's first book “A Wild Beast at Heart” (Publish America, ISBN 1-4241-4721-2) is a collection of short stories centered around the author's passion for hunting and shooting wherever he goes, South and North America, Europe, Asia, and Africa. Rodrigo has written about hunting for alligators in Brazil as well as dove in Michigan and his first African safari, but different from other authors, Rodrigo bring you adventures that you can live by just stepping out to the outdoors right at your backyard. He is a very articulate writer and has a flair that will keep the reader wanting to read on. He has a zest for life that allows the reader to escape into the adventures that he is writing about and the ability to write about the hunting or fishing experiences that would escape the average reader. He currently lives in Mattawan, Michigan, with his wife Maria José, children Maria Eduarda and Daniel and their black lab Tupa.
