Biography
William Morgan was born in 1932 in Long Beach, California, to a pioneer mother and Navy father, growing up on a large cattle ranch in central California. From an early age he had an interest in science and history, graduating from university with a B. S. in Physics. After 2 years as a Naval Officer and two years working in Japan he earned a follow-on degree in Foreign Trade. This was followed by about 40 years of working & living in a number of different countries, ending up with 10 years in Vietnam.
Morgan long wondered why we--Homo sapiens, as a societal specie--had never solved even one of our societal problems. After several decades of thought and learning from others, he finally knew the answer. And that if we did not soon change our societal system, since with it we were seeking to contravene those laws of nature under which we evolved as a thinking specie, we would become first non-viable and then extinct. A conclusion born out by our current slide into non-viability.
