Jos de Weerd (Zwolle, 1990) is religiehistoricus. Hij studeerde Geschiedenis aan de Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam en promoveerde in 2021 aan dezelfde universiteit. De Weerd is als Fellow verbonden aan het HDC Centre for Religious History aan de Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.

Jos de Weerd
I am a historian of religion of the late middle ages and the early modern period. I also engage with issues in art history, emphasizing the religious ideas behind devotional objects. In 2021, I defended my PhD thesis on the Reformation in the region of Veluwe in the province of Gelderland. Currently, I am working as high school teacher and visiting lecturer at my home Faculty of Humanities, Vrije Universiteit.
