Deepak Pawar is a doctor, medical teacher, and a writer. Even though his primary specialty is psychiatry, his interests include literature, films, culture, history and spirituality.

He is the author of *Angst: A Reflective Observation of Indian Transgressions*, and is currently working on a narrative non-fictional account of mental adversity and resilience.
