B.A, M.A. Ph.D (Hong Kong University); B.A (Hon), London University, England; M.A. Columbia University, USA.
Author of books in Chinese include Treaties on the Eminent Families in the Two Chins and Sourhtern Dynasties (1985); Chinese Railway Workers for the Canadian Pacific Railway (1987); Probing China's Soul (1991); 100 Keys to English-Chinese Translation (2008) and in English include Say It in Cantonese (1995) and A Glossary of Common Cantonese Colloquial Expressions.
He is now an adviser and instructor at the School of Continuing Studies, University of Toronto and has been the adviser of the Chinese English Translation Society of Ontario,
Ontario Society for Chinese Education and President of the Chinese Writers' Association in Toronto. In 1993, he was awarded a commemorative medal for the 125th Anniversary of the Confederation of Canada and in 1997, a certificate of recognition for excellence in teaching by the School of Continuing Studies, University of Toronto.
