Biography
Jean-Yves Collette is a writer and an editor from Québec. He was born in Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts. From 1966–1990 he was editor of *La Barre du jour* and co-founder and editor of *La Nouvelle Barre du jour*, as worked on other literary journals such as *Estuaire*, *Hobo-Québec*, *L'Illettré*, *Œdip* in France, *Le Journal des Poètes* in France, *Les Herbes rouges*, and *Odradek* in Belgium.
In 1990 he left the journals to work for several Montréal publishers. In 2006, he began publishing his own work again with *Anna & lui*. In 2009, he founded *Vertiges éditeur*, an online publishing house.
