Biography
Assoc. Prof. Dr Rozeman bin Abu Hassan is the Director of Simpang Renggam Learning Centre and an academician in History at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Open University Malaysia. He joined OUM in 2007 and had the experience of being a Dean, Acting Dean, Deputy Dean (Assessment), and Program Coordinator at the Faculty of Applied Social Sciences (FASS). He has 30 years of experience in education in schools, the Ministry of Education, and both public and private universities.
He started his career as a Graduate Teacher in Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Jelai (f) Gemas and Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Batu Kikir, Negeri Sembilan; later, he was seconded as an Examination Officer at the Malaysian Examination Council. He has been a History Lecturer and Research Fellow at Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI), Tanjong Malim, Perak, for eight years.
His deep interest in the field of research has led him to produce several academic books such as Dasar British Terhadap Hubungan Singapura-Malaysia 1959-1969 (2015), Biografi Aminuddin Baki: Arkitek Pendidikan Negara (First Printing 2008) and (Second Printing 2010), Malaysia Melangkah Ke Hadapan: Pengajian Malaysia Sejak 1945 (2010), Mengenali dan Mentafsir Sumber-sumber Sejarah (2004), and Tun Abdul Razak bin Dato’ Hussein: Dasar Luar Malaysia 1970-1976 (2003). He also wrote several modules at OUM, among them MPU2163 Pengajian Malaysia, ABXH1103 Aplikasi Sejarah (Applied History), Panduan Praktikum dan Rancangan Orientasi Sekolah, ABKH2103 Study Guide International History, and MPU3113 Study Guide Hubungan Etnik.
