Charles Martin

He taught school prior to his retirement and was named teacher of the year in 1964 and 1971, received the Exchange Club Book of Golden Deeds Award, was a member of Carnegie Library Board, past secretary of Chamber of Commerce, charter member of Barbershoppers, past Grand Knight and member of Knights of Columbus Council 1804, Knight of the Year from 1979 to 1980, member of Minnesota League of Poetry, Rotary Club, director of Central Minnesota Education Association, board of Governors of Minnesota Speech Association and local, state and national Education Association.
