Biography
James Robert Flynn FRSNZ (28 April 1934 โ 11 December 2020) was a New Zealand intelligence researcher. An Emeritus Professor of Political Studies at the University of Otago in Dunedin, New Zealand, he was famous for his publications about the continued year-after-year increase of IQ scores throughout the world, which is now referred to as the Flynn effect. Originally from Washington, D.C. and educated at the University of Chicago, Flynn emigrated to New Zealand in 1963. He died in Dunedin, New Zealand on 11 December 2020.
