Robert M. Weir, Distinguished Professor of History at the University of South Carolina, has long concentrated his research on the colonial and Revolutionary period in South Carolina. He is the author of "A Most Important Epocha" The Coming of the Revolution in South Carolina and "The Last of American Freemen" Studies in the Political Culture of the Colonial and Revolutionary South.-Google Books
