Biography
Anna Marisa Savà was born on 4th October 1950 in the beautiful baroque town of Scicli, Sicily. After completing her studies at the High School, she leaves her loved Sicily and moves to London to improve her English. Immediately , the metropolis fascinates her : the colours , the lights, the multiracial society, the traditions, the climate, even the busy life, so different from that of the quiet sunny town she has left. In her two year's stay in London she has the opportunity to join a club whose members are deeply interested in the novelists and poets of the early nineteen century. She soon shows a deep interest in Lawrence and begins to read all his novels and short stories with increasing admiration. After the degree in English Language and Literature, at University of Catania, Sicily, she starts teaching English in secondary and high Schools. To young students she has always devoted all her efforts in order to improve their learning strategies and techniques, and she has always tried, succesfully, to transfer her interest in the Anglo- Saxon country and in its people. During her teacher career, she has obtained high acknowledgements from the Ministry Public Education. As a writer this is her first important challenge.
