Biography
A native of Ila-Orangun, Osun State, Nigeria. He attended the Polytechnic, Ibadan for his Higher National Diploma in Accountancy. He also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Management and MBA in Finance from the Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, Nigeria and, the membership of some professional bodies including National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria and Certified Institute of Credit Administration. Before his first published work; 'Thunder from the Wild and Other Poems', his works had been variously featured in some Nigerian major newspapers including The Guardian, Sunday and Daily Times, The Punch, Sunday Tribune and the defunct Sunday and Daily Concord. Some of Adebiyi's works have also appeared in anthologies including 'The Confluence' published by the Lagos Chapter of Association of Nigeria Authors and edited by renowned Art Critic, Akeem Lasisi and 'Poetry at Work' edited by Professor Niyi Osundare, one of the world's foremost poets. Prior to his retirement from Wema Bank Plc in September 2011 he had served the bank meritoriously at different capacities including Senior Manager-Credit and Relationship Management Department, the unit head of Commercial Banking Group where he was overseeing various units such as Small and Medium Scales Enterprises, General Commerce, Religious Desks and Capital Markets. He also served as a unit head at Oil and Gas Desk of the bank as well as a Business Manager of various branches including the Head Office branch. He was at a time the representative of Wema Bank on the Board of Kotco Energy Plc. He is currently a member of the board of directors of Fastrack Security and Safety Nigeria Limited as well as a member of the Advisory Board of Ayodele Medical Centre, Lagos. Adebiyi is currently the chief executive officer of Kitkay Ventures Limited, Lagos. As a socialite, he is a member of the prestigious Omoogboye Club, a Lagos based social -cultural club. His past time includes reading and writing and he is happily married with three kids.
