>**Marcus Paul Dare** (1902-1962), was a composer and author who worked in many genres, particularly history, folklore, ghost stories, guidebooks, church history, archeology, and genealogy.
>Dare wrote one collection of uncanny tales, *Unholy Relics*, published in 1947 by Edward Arnold. Notable among his tales are 'The Demoniac Goat' and 'An Abbot's Magic'. Shortly before his death, Dare gave an interesting talk on 'Ghosts I Have Met' for the BBC Home Service.
